Senior Buyer

Salary: £24,500 - £30,600 + 28 days annual leave

Our client, based in West Sussex, operates within the aviation industry. Its activities include economic regulation, airspace policy, safety regulation and consumer protection. They are now seeking to employ a Senior Buyer, initially on a 12 month contract.
Preferrably with a minimum of 5 years purchasing experience, and either CIPS qualified or working towards qualification, you will have previously worked within the Public Sector. Knowledge and use of EU Procurement Directives would be advantageous. The position entails a broad range of tasks, from raising purchase orders through to managing EU Threshold tenders. This latter aspect is key, and is a specific requirement for our Client who has requested that the successful candidate be able to manage and complete these without supervision.
Services purchased will include cleaning, security and maintenance, plus consultancy procurement.Our Client is looking for someone to start in the short term so your prompt application is encouraged.
Location is within easy reach of Greater London, Brighton, Guildford, Tunbridge Wells and Crawley.
